The Ball is in your court
Welcome to Basketball Theology Headquarters
We at Basketball Theology believe that God is a free being who is living, personal, relational, good and loving. Contrary to popular belief, nowhere in the Bible does it say that God is outside of time and utterly unchanging, nor does it state that He has decreed every thought, action and outcome (salvation or damnation) of His Creation (i.e. Calvinism). And as His image bearers, we too have our own wills and are free to do as we so choose.Â
Calvinist theology has its origins in Platonism and as a result, fatalism tragically pervades many churches today. "Proof texts" that are cited in defense of Calvinism are taken out of context and often twisted to fit the ideology. In order to properly understand a verse, or even a word for that matter, you must read it in context of the entire passage, chapter, book, and the Bible as a whole. Unless you know the Word, you won't understand scripture (sorry atheists...)Â
Â
Weather you are agree with our position or are a Calvinist, Moslem, Jew, or Pastafarian, we encourage you to check out our resource page and visit some of the sites/YouTube Channels we have listed. They're all very enlightening :)
Because golf is too boring and hopscotch too complex! Basketball Theology was inspired by a single meme:
It really captures the essense of Calvinism, does it not? If you don't get it, we hope you will be regenerated to understand.
